Agile Delivery Owner
Cleveland, OHOur direct, Fortune 100 client is looking for a REMOTE Agile Delivery Owner / Scrum Master for a long-term, extendable contract position. You will leverage agile practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions that support the organization’s business objectives. This role focuses on maximizing business value and optimizing flow by guiding agile teams to meet their goals. You will ensure effective coordination within and across teams, providing transparency on delivery progress to key stakeholders This position is open to fully remote candidates but will follow an ET schedule.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
– Consistently leveraging lean and agile practices to achieve outcomes.
– Orchestrates planning and coordination activities across multiple teams, protecting the teams against interference and over commitment, ensuring optimal team focus and sustainable productivity to achieve high-value outcomes.
– Advises Product Owners in backlog management to ensure clear prioritization across teams.
– Monitors key performance metrics to assess the health of coordinating teams. Shares metrics with teams to celebrate progress and generate improvement ideas.
– Uses performance and progress metrics to increase transparency and predictability in meeting commitments.
– Facilitates the adoption and evolution of agile practices with the goal of improving how the organization produces high quality and high value outcomes.
– Aligns teams with strategic goals through transparent sequencing of work, clear identification of dependencies, and manages risks and issues that affect delivery, developing mitigation plans and ensuring timely resolution.
– Communicate information organization-wide, ensuring that all events are not only positive and productive but also set new standards for efficiency and effectiveness within the time box.
– Ensures delivery standards across multiple teams.
– Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies.
Required:
– Ability to drive decisions and continuous improvements.
– Negotiation skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for complex issues.
– Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills needed to research and make recommendations.
– Formal presentation skills and ability to use a variety of techniques to present information, including data and trends, to a variety of audiences, internal or external.
– Interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve goals and accomplish work, including vendors.
– Ability to work with others to resolve conflicts and use interpersonal methods to reduce tension and facilitate agreement.
– Ability to prioritize and execute concurrent initiatives while balancing deadlines and stakeholder needs without impacting quality
– Leadership skills with a focus on coaching, collaboration, and critical thinking.
– The following combination of certifications are REQUIRED: Certified Advanced ScrumMaster (A-CSM) or Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II), plus Agile Leadership Certification (CAL 1), SAFe RTE, SAFe SPC, or SAFe Agilist
Plusses:
Familiarity with tools – AgilePlace, GitHub, Azure DevOps etc.
