SAS Administrator
Fully RemotePrecision is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer for a contract position with our Fortune 100 client. This remote role focuses on administering and supporting SAS environments across Windows and Linux platforms. The engineer will manage SAS Grid operations, user access, security roles, system health, upgrades, patching, incidents, and service requests. The role also includes creating operational documentation, improving monitoring and alerting, and automating administration through scripting, Puppet, and Infrastructure as Code practices. Candidates should have strong SAS administration experience and be willing to work Eastern Time hours during core business hours.

Required:
– Administer SAS environments across Windows and Linux platforms.
– Manage SAS 9.4 Grid Manager, LSF scheduling, queues, and workload distribution.
– Perform Linux administration, shell scripting, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
– Use SAS Metadata Server, SAS Management Console, and SAS Environment Manager.
– Manage LDAP or Active Directory, integrated Windows authentication, permissions, and security roles.
– Support production incidents, service requests, change management, and platform operations.
– Use Puppet, Infrastructure as Code, and scripting to automate administration tasks.
Plusses:
– Support AWS environments, cloud migrations, or SAS Viya platforms.
– Administer shared file systems such as GPFS or NFS.
– Use Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
– Work with Kerberos authentication.
– Create monitoring dashboards, alerts, and operational reports.
