Information Security Analyst II
Cleveland, OHOur direct, F100 client is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join their organization in a long-term contract position. This role is open to remote candidates within the US (position will generally follow EST hours)!
In this role, you will assist with administering, supporting, and reporting on information security systems and supporting the development of security controls to protect information from unauthorized modification or loss. Primarily, this will include assisting in Information Security triage efforts – the timely triage of various customer emails and tickets, crafting appropriate responses, and escalating potential security events/ alerts to senior Information Security analysts and our Incident Response Coordinator.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
– Phishing Training responses
– Phishing Email inquiry review
– MSSP Tickets and various alerts
– Potential security events/ alerts
– Email Quarantine Monitoring
– Runs requested Email Gateway reports
– Reviews/performs Proxy Unblock Requests
– Supports and works closely with other departments (Incidence Response Coordinator /CID/ Legal/ Physical Security)
Required:
-Ability to triage customer requests, apply playbook driven solutions, initiate potential incident investigations
– Ability to follow process documentation
– Ability to demonstrate basic information security concepts
– Critical thinking skills
Plusses:
– Basic Splunk software skills
– Basic proxy software skills
– Previous job experience that required handling incoming requests (e.g. IT Help Desk)
– Experience with various ticketing Systems (e.g. Remedy, Service Now)
