IT Contracts & Vendor Management Analyst

Our F100 client located near Cleveland, OH is looking for a detail-oriented and energetic IT Contracts and Vendor Management Analyst for a REMOTE, 6-month contract-to-hire position.

They are searching for a resource to help with their backlog of IT (software, hardware and telecom) procurement work – they’re looking for a versatile resource who is comfortable working with a variety of IT vendors and business executives in order to understand technology roadmaps and comply with inventory control processes. This role requires good experience and understanding of the full IT Procurement process, but the emphasis will be on candidates who can analyze and facilitate strategic technology conversations between senior management and IT vendors. Please note, while this is a fully remote position, candidates must be able to generally follow an EST schedule.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

– The contractor will be working with appropriate stakeholders to assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) for new and existing vendor technologies and assists with vendor selection.

– The contractor will work with many negotiators on the team and will assist them with multiple tasks, as well as their own deals (they’ll be shown what to do)

– The contractor will be digging into an Excel spreadsheet, working in COUPA and asking negotiators additional questions

– They will be part of different “stand up” meetings where they can talk through problems and they’ll have their own team meetings to discuss concerns and questions, if they have any

– The contractor will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, business and platforms)

– They will read through contracts and execute a purchase or market research

– May be asked to do renewals

Required:

– At least 1 year of experience working on hardware and software procurement and contracts

– Basic understanding of purchasing hardware and software and RFPs (working with deals around $500K or less)

– Ability to research and maintain awareness of emerging technology terms and concepts

– Analysis and problem-solving skills

– Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously

– Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present information to internal teams

– Ability to work with others

– Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly

– Flexibility, as they may be asked to do other things like renewals
